Garden

 This post will be mostly photos.. because I'm so sleepy that I'm headed to bed soon :)

First vegetable of the 2010 harvest. See that little red 'sweet baby girl' tomato?

Look at my corn plants!!! they're growing like crazy... if we seriously get even one ear of corn in our townhouse patio garden.. I might cry from laughter!... it was a fun experiment.. that has actually worked!!!

Here's a full garden shot.. love that little garden!

Here's our 8 foot, 30 inch pool that we got to lounge around in our secluded patio.. it's been great!!!

I love the privacy we have in our patio... I can wear a two piece suit and get a little sun, without scaring anyone!!

Here is my beautiful, blooming blueberry bush.. adorable!

Lastly... here's my beautiful new trellis, and my 'black eyed susan' flower growing up it (birthday gift from Mom). Found that old washtub at the Peddler's Mall and couldn't resist it. Isn't it adorable?

graduation cupcakes

Here are a few pictures from some graduation cupcakes I did last week. The school colors were royal blue and white, and they only wanted white icing, so here's what I came up with.

Also- if the rain ever stops, I'm going to take pictures of my STUNNING vegetable garden, that is absolutely growing like crazy.. even my silver queen corn plants are growning.. :)

Also Also- I've been babysitting our best friends 10 month old little girl today.. she's an absolute doll baby.. and we've had a blast :) She's currently asleep in the middle of our family room floor on a big plushy blanket I made into a makeshift mattress for her.

We're back!

I know- I didn't tell y'all that I was going anywhere... because I don't want the whole world knowing when we're not home.. anyway- we're back! From Indianapolis, the hubby took me on a ridiculously romantic and amazing weekend trip for my birthday.. complete with fancy hotel overlooking a lake (we were on the 7th floor), fancy dinners and spending money for several shops and malls :) AND.. I got to decide where we went, everywhere we went... dinner, shopping, everything! He is always considerate to what I want to do.. but it was so wonderful to be able to do and go wherever and whatever I wanted! Of course- I kept him in mind and catered to his favorite things too.. that's my free sound marriage advice!

Anyway- it was a beautiful, wonderful trip- and I'm really looking forward to my birthday on Tuesday (6-8)
.. I'll be 22.. which just sounds better than 21.. and it seems so much older..

Let's recap the last year-

May 2009 (age 20)- graduated college

June 8th 2009 (21st birthday)- purchased my home, on my own!

July 9th 2009- got engaged

January 1st 2010 - got married !

April 23rd 2010- became a housewife

What a great, and happening year ! !  Hopefully, the next year won't be quite so jam packed- but just as happy and exciting.

hey cupcake :)

I just had the most amazing dinner... baked BBQ chicken, fresh asparagus and sliced tomatoes... yum!

Obviously, I wasn't cooking for the hubby... (he doesn't do asparagus or tomatoes).. he's in Indiana this evening, working on his uncle's computer (his aunt will be feeding him this evening :). It was just little ole' me.. so I cooked up something for myself.. and I'll tell you that it was not nearly as much fun as cooking for my wonderful man... I'm looking forward to cooking for him tomorrow :)
